SPN's mission is to provide awareness, suicide prevention and support services through education, advocacy and intervention to residents of the rural communities.  Our service area includes not only Douglas County, but Carson and Lyon counties in Nevada and Alpine and El Dorado counties in California.

Over the years, SPN has grown into an agency that provides grief, peer and PTSD support groups; prevention and educational resources to service providers, educators, service clubs, health professionals, public officials, faith communities and community members; coordinated services and referrals for individuals and families; resources for law enforcement and first responder personnel when working with families afflicted by suicide; as well as community events to support our mission.
